Man who doesn't like Caponera? Originally from Chicago John Caponera has the kind of delivery that if he wasn't doing stand up would be a great play-by-play sports announcer. Lucky for us he has incorporated his broadcasting voices into his stand up. My favorite is when he does Chicago Cubs late, great voice announcer, Harry Caray. The other voice I think he does that is brilliant is that of Vin Scully, long time voice of the Dodgers. Its just such a treat to hear him bring those legends in a comedic format on stage. By the way it should be noted for the record that Cap is a Cubs fan (sorry White Sox fans). Caponera (in addition to his killer voices) also has done his fair share of television appearing in his own sitcom, The Good Life and hosted Comedy Centrals Jocks and ESPNs Talk II. He guest-starred on NBCs long running hospital drama, ER, Love & War, Blossom and one of my favorite shows, Tales From The Crypt on HBO. There was also The Tonight Show, The Dennis Miller Show, LA Law, NBCs Miniseries, Drug Wars, The John Laroquette Show, The Drew Carey Show, The Espy Awards and a host of other TV shows that I cant remember. I usually describe Kat Simmons this way: if Dick Van Dyke had a three-way with Lucielle Ball and Carol Burnett the end result would be Kat. She is one of the best physically styled comedians out there performing today and is just plain hilarious.
